Visiting Cowbridge

Hi Everybody

I’ve just returned from a  trip to Cowbridge, which is about 16 miles from Cardiff. Initially, this was to get my generator serviced, which I sometimes use, when giving outdoor pottery throwing demonstrations in the middle of nowhere.

Anyway, into the main street in Cowbridge and… an antiques centre called Happy Days. It calls itself a Vintage Homestore and has lots of very interesting collectible pottery on offer.

Nothing too old, mainly retro, including some Hornsea pottery, German lava pots, Troika, Clarice Cliff and lots of other ceramics knick-knacks. It also hosts a lovely café, Debs Tearoom, with great 1970s music playing in the background. They do a nice hot cappuccino with plenty of froth.  Cowbridge also has quite a few charity shops to explore in the main street, and because it is an affluent area, you do get better quality items in those – all good. A great day out.
